Unlike in the past when most establishments were closed for business on Christmas day, yesterday spas were open. Yen and I had two masseuse come to our house at 8:30 pm. She had her massage in her room, while I had foot and legs reflexology on the sofa in our bedroom while watching the Pangako Sa’yo teleserye.

The masseuse laughed when Mayor Duterte’s commercial came out on the screen, the one without Allan Cayetano. the one where he played his image as toughie to the max. The one where he greeted the criminals Merry Christmas, this would be your huling pasko kung hindi kayo magbabago.

duterte huling pasko

The masseuse really liked it, she stopped massaging my foot and couldn’t control her laughter. Me naman, what’s funny? Is that funny? There is clearly a desire to shock and impress voters. It’s not really to scare the criminals. It’s an advertisement, that we should vote for Duterte if we want to get rid of durugista, magnanakaw, drug pushers and other criminals.

My concern is if Duterte wins, he is forced to play his toughie image to the hilt. He would order summary execution of criminals. Mabuti kung 100% na talagang kriminal nga yung mga yun, eh pa’no kung hindi naman. We the public would never know. Eh paano na, his army of crime busters might get the hang of their super powers and start bossing the public around, start killing people with impunity, people they don’t like or those who crossed their paths, baka hindi lang kursunada hilatsa ng mukha natin eh tirahin na agad tayo. Tsuk, tigok!

Baka makagitgitan sa traffic, magka-bangga sa mall, magka-titigan sa bar, goodbye to the world na tayo. Too much power is intoxicating.
I hope they act within the bounds of law.

Oh yes we do want to have a country that’s peaceful and orderly. We want to be able to walk, drive, travel, cross the street freely, without having to walk backwards to see who’s behind us. Without the need to cling to our personal belongings like life and death. However, I didn’t find the tv ad amusing nor hilarious.
Ewan, basta hindi lang ako natawa.
