I was walking from the master’s bedroom to the study room when I glanced to my right and noticed the soft orangey light peeking through the sheer curtain. I walked closer to the window and opened the drapes. The sky was changing color, from the sun to moon, from day to night, from sunshine to moonlight. This is takipsilim in Tagalog. Parang bigla akong nalungkot. I took my phone and I went up to the deck. I stared at the sky for a few minutes and I felt some motherly emotion. I miss my son, Parang may kulang dito bahay namin. Someone is not here. I just miss him.

Takipsilim

The sunray’s twilight refraction threw some pensiveness into my mood.

Takipsilim,

Please always take care of him dear Lord.
Guide him in all his directions.
Watch over him everywhere he goes.
Please be his constant companion.
May he be healthy, safe and free from harm.
Bless him through life’s trials.
Keep him away from bad people.
These I ask Thee, Amen.
