Tell me how you found me

I want to know how you found me, my site www.ohmybuhay.com
I am curious how you stumbled upon ohmybuhay.
When I started posting in the middle of April 2011, I didn’t except that I would be found. I was surprised that the following day, there were a few hundred views.

So if you are not my sister, my in-laws and out-laws, my workmates, pls leave a comment and tell me how you found my site. What were you looking for or googling which brought you to my site? Did anyone tell you about it? Etc. How regular do you visit my site? ETc.

Oh, pls tell me also a little something about yourself. Are you in Netherlands? Idaho? Libis? Saudi? Pritil?

I will choose from among the comments submitted to ohmybuhay (not facebook) beginning November 19 (monday).
To show my appreciation, if your comment gets published on OHMYBUHAY, please email me your Philippine mailing address and I will send you a bath towel or souvenir courtesy of either Mazda Makati or Ford while supply lasts.

Important note: Pls submit comment to ohmybuhay site. NOT thru my facebook account.
Thank you.

  1. I remember when my cameraman called my attention just to tell me, “SIR si Alice Dixson ba yun?” He’s pointing at you, then I moved closer just to figure out, ‘coz it was a little bit dark, and I said. “Baka sister nya, pero may similarity, maganda rin”. From the card you gave where I saw this site, got curious and hooked. It a hobby then, bookmarked on my bar menu.

  2. you were being introduced to me. and you are asking how often did i visit your site, everyday..but when in the middle of the day and want to read something that really kill the boredom in me, i check your site, if i miss something.

  3. Hi ! I live in SF, found your site while searching for daily prayers… i bookmarked your site, as well as the friday prayer. No personal blog yet, on my to do list for 2013. Reading your blog is enjoyable and informative. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  4. I found your site because of a link posted (in the comments section) of Toto Gonzales’ blog “Remembrance of Things Awry”. The topic was Birkin bags and somebody posted a link to your blog entry about Anabelle Rama’s collection (what you read in YES magazine). At that time you latest entry was about your family’s “homecoming” of sorts to your husband’s childhood hometown… where he played games, where he studied (primary & HS), the house they lived in, who their neighbors were, etc. I bookmarked your blog because i found the pictures and photos rather interesting and because you were very involved in that trip and made sure your children joined the adventure in learning/remembering your husband’s roots, so to speak. Yours is not the typical food/shopping adventure blog that is so common now.Your off the cuff comments really crack me up because they are so true (e.g. Wagyu? Wagnalang!.)

  5. I found your site after reading about Maymay Leichtenstein’s luncheon for Zonta Club and googled about it. She’s such a good hostess.

I read your blog because you post everyday and you’re really funny and relatable.

  6. Sorry, correction Mrs Yee (in case you can edit comments)..
“At that time YOUR latest entry was about…”
“….i found the STORIES and photos rather interesting. Not “pictures and photos….”.
    Ay mahirap ang walang editor.

  7. hi Annie,
I am Dina, a late-40’s business owner here in Manila and a full-time mom to 2 lovely daughters. I am also their cook, their yaya, their tutor when they were young and will be their personal love and life advisor in the future (and I hope it will not be too soon).
I found you through remembranceofthingsawry last September. There was a link to your post on Annabelle R.’s house and bags. I clicked the link and I was hooked ever since.
What I love about your blog is It’s so refreshing!
You are materially rich yet so down to earth. Your children are all grown up and can lead their own separate lives yet I can see that they very much cherish spending time with you. You are blessed with a husband that goes to mass with you and takes you to dinner dates yet manages to build a solid business empire.
If you were my daughter I would be so very, very proud of you!
Keep it up. I would be a fan for as long as you will be blogging.
I hope to meet you someday

  8. From a link in a comment in the blog “Remembrance of things awry”. I got curious because you posted your family trip to Ilo-ilo.

    I currently based in Riyadh.

  9. During the working visit of PNoy in Japan, you and my wife exchanged calling cards. At the back of your calling card was the Oh My Buhay blog address. I started reading it out of curiosity (since you kept taking photos during the events) and have been hooked ever since. Your blogs are very down to earth, funny, informative and entertaining. Your sincerity comes across. Hope that you will blog one day about how you entered the car sales business.

    1. Hi Alvin,
thank u. It never crossed my mind to talk about how we ended up selling cars. I would, one of these days.

  10. Hi Annie,
I found your blog when I heard a voice recording of Lotis key. It was during Mr. Dolphy’s hospitalization. I got curious of Lotis, googled her name and there was one of your blog entries – when she gave you an antique plate. 🙂

Oh, I have read all your posts. as if I already met and know your entire family, household staff etc. But Please, don’t think I’m a stalker.
I enjoy reading ypur post – I check your blog on a daily visit. It always put a smile on my face. 🙂

By the way, you just influenced me – I bought a Braun Buffel bag at Changi Airport SIN. on Nov. 6, 2012. I told the Filipino S.A. about your blog. He’s happy !
To me, you’re a very good influence. Kaya, I told my sisters and friends about this blog….Hala, mas super busy na ito now!

  11. as any selosa wife would, i was leafing through my husband’s FB account (hahaha) when I chanced upon your page which was shared by one of his classmates. i can’t quite remember which blog it was but from that point on, i was hooked!
i find your blog so human, so natural, unpretentious. even though mayaman ka, it doesn’t sound at all mayabang. i am actually a fan now. i read your blog everyday. since i don’t watch tv, you’re my telenovela 🙂 and in two years time when i’m eligible for early retirement, i might just submit my resume so you’ll never have to find another cherry or virgie. just include in my contract that wherever you eat, i eat (hahaha!).

  12. I found out your blog when I was looking for a picture of my parent’s crush, lol. That pics lead me to your blog, hahaha. After that I joined blogspot also and followed you. Thumbs up on how you manage your life, from being a wifey, a mother, a boss, a friend, etc and writing blogs. As I found your blog, I took two days to browse and read your past blog posts. And I also relate on the business you are into cause I am an employee of a motor car insurance. Its frequent that I had an account which the unit is undergoing repair on your dealership esp Mazda makati! Keep inspiring others. Hoping that one day I could be as cool mother as you are to your kids. God bless you and your family.

  13. Hi Ms. Annie,

Rhuth here from Kuwait OMG after reading all your entries can’t remember na when I started reading your blog. The only thing I remember was I am googling something and you site is one of the reference site.
I from that moment on I read your blog every day one time I dont want to work and I just want to read your blog. In the morning as soon as I arrived in the office and open my computer I will read first your new entry then after that I will start working na, even if your entry is something that you feel low it gives me inspiration and understand my mom more.
Another thing you make us your reader updated to whats going on in Manila, where to go and whats new specially those who are working abroad.
Your blogging style is so simple, you can reach different kind or level of people “pangmayaman at pangmahirap” “pangconyo at pang probinsyano or jejejemon”.
Keep it up Ms. Annie I wish you all the best and more happiness and blessing.
    God bless

    Regards,
    Rhuth B.

  14. Hi Annie,
I found your blog when I sent you a friend request in FB and then you provided me a link into it. Since then, I will check your entries every now and then. I even archieved your entries in case I would miss, including this one. I am currently house bound because I’m recovering from a laparoscopic surgery and your blog has been a great companion in bed. Your blog is very informative and in fact, I have listed some of the restaurants that I found through your blog and include them in my wish list to visit in Manila. You have interesting topics because you wear various hats – as a boss at work and at home, as a delegate in international trade conferences, as a wife, mother, as a daughter, as a sister, as a styler, etc. You can bring me to Divisoria and to McKinley – oh what an insightful journey! You have a unique touch when you write that people from various social classes can relate because you are simply a well grounded person. Most of all, you are not afraid to share your inner feelings, even when you are down, making you real and reminding your readers that we are all the same – we have highs and lows in life.
By the way, I may not have seen you for 20 years (the last time baptism of Erika) but let me tell you, you are still looking gorgeous and beautiful inside out. Thank you Annie for finding time to share and I hope you will not get tired of blogging because you lead such as a colourful and interesting life that is worth sharing. Edmund, Oyen & Marvin must be very proud of you. Oh yes, I’m now based in Canberra.
    Best regards, Rissa

    1. HI Rissa,
We have a lot of catching up to do since the last time we saw you.
I know we are FB friends but my activities limit my energy to keep in touch to dear friends.
Thank you for reading about my crazy life.
Let me know when you are visiting Manila so we can have at least some merienda.
      I hope our schedules match.

      Happy holidays,

      Annie
