Thieves in San Francisco

June 25, 2019
My cellphone battery needed recharging. The two Fendi male sales guys offered to charge my battery so I stayed at their boutique for maybe twenty minutes or half an hour. We covered a lot of topics.

1. The homeless people in the Bay Area has grown in number, 19,000 as of the last count. Los Angeles has 58,000 according to the tv report.

2. San Francisco has deteriorated. It’s not clean anymore. We see garbage in many areas unlike before when it smelled good and looked clean. Some parts of Market Street smelled either weed or pee.

3. There are many people walking around like zombies because they are high in marijuana or weed.

4. The iPhone of Fendi sales guy #1 was snatched while he was walking around Union Square.

5. The three of us all felt uncomfortable taking the train.

6. There’s a group of women called the Rainbow Girls, about a dozen of them, with pepper sprays that enter boutiques. They lock the store’s door from the inside while they stash away the expensive merchandise in their cars.

7. The Yves Saint Laurent boutique had been broken into by a man who shattered the store’s window by backing up his vehicle. The smash and grab robbery happened in the early morning of April 17, 2019.

8. Several boutiques’ windows were broken by men throwing rocks hoping to break the windows so they could enter. The stores replaced their glass windows with thick and bulletproof glass.

9. The Apple store had been victimized several times by men who entered the store and in minutes grabbed the cellphones on display and ran.

10. The Apple stores were robbed many times in the last year losing a total of a million dollars worth of merchandise. The thieves are emboldened by the knowledge of the store’s “hands-off policy” for the store security. Even if they see you stealing, they will not lock you up and turn you over to the police. They should change their policy.

11. The Louis Vuitton store lost hundreds thousands worth of expensive bags and clothing in November 2018 representing a three-day merchandise delivery from their head office. The modus operandi used? Someone pretended to be an employee of LV phoned the UPS store to inform them that their basement stock room was flooded so they cannot accept deliveries. Instead, they will pick up the items from the UPS store. It was only discovered when the LV store contacted their head office after 5 to complain that they haven’t received any delivery.

12. The police said crimes in San Francisco used to be petty crimes only but lately, crime is escalating and criminals are now emboldened.

  1. Miss Annie, and Deutch Bank is falling and it’s so much bigger than Lehman Brothers. This time is ominous of what 2008 was and could be worse. We must be very watchful of the times… The thing about americans is thay they are not mentally prepared for the hardships. In 2008 when a family lost his house coz it went underwater, he shot all his childr3n, his wife and himself.
