Toothache is God’s punishment for my sins

I was up the whole night due to intense toothache. It was, it still is super sakit. Oh God. I’ve been suffering intermittently for the past months or year. This is God’s punishment for all my sins.

When it hurts I couldn’t think of anything. All I could think about is how painful it is.
I am going to two dentists today. One is Beth my regular dentist and at 3 pm, I will see the dental surgeon she recommended. I am trying to preserve my tooth and not have it extracted that’s why I am suffering for the consequences of my indecisiveness. I also am scared of the root canal thingy. I also dread the thought that I have to wear a denture or cap inside my mouth.

Ang kulit ko daw my husband tells me all the time.

  1. Hi Ms Annie.. i hope ur feeling better now.. Pls take care and rest easy..
God bless you and the family…

  2. Hi Annie
when you have non-stop toothache, it could mean the nerves are already infected, thus needing a root canal. Good news is root canals are not that bad, exaggerated lang mga horror stories about RCT. Dentists now have modern equipment that can make the procedure faster and less invasive. Your other option is to extract the tooth, then put an implant, in which prognosis will be better. Root canal therapy that is not done right can lead to more problems in the future.

    1. hi Charisse, Are you a dentist? You sound very knowledgeable. I went to see a dental surgeon yesterday in UERM. He gave me antibiotics for 7 days and I need a new set of panoramic x-rays to see what is best for my tooth, a root canal or extraction. Either way I am scared. When he asked me what my pain tolerance is, I answered zero.

      1. So kilig you replied to my comment 🙂 Yes, I am a dentist but I live in Phoenix, AZ now. Antibiotics will help with the infection, efficacy of the anesthesia is poor if tooth is infected pa. Panoramic x-ray is essential to see the bone level and some facial structures ( proximity to sinus and facial nerves, etc). Siguro your surgeon wants to be careful din if he needs to do extraction or maybe wants a clearer view of the extent of the infection. If you do root canal, you will need a crown after to protect the tooth. Tooth becomes brittle like a cracker if there’s no more blood supply, and it will discolor in time. Implant naman is ofcourse, more expensive but like I said prognosis is better. Dentists’ nightmare are people with 0 pain tolerance! lol some patients dito, they take Valium in very small dose before their appointments lol or bring earphones and listen to music so you do not hear those drilling sounds 🙂 anxiety adds to pain din kasi. Good Luck!

          1. I read the link. Kaya pala my tooth hurts every time I am on vacation. See you in Phoenix. Thanks Charisse.
