Hungry Hound Pub with Abe Olandres

I had lunch with Yugatech founder Abe Olandres at the Hungry Hound Pub + Kitchen on the ground floor of Globe Telecom Tower at the Fort across St. Luke’s hospital.

I let him choose his preferred venue, for his convenience.
He chose The Hungry Hound because it’s closer to their office and he said the owner is also a blogger, Erwan Heussaf.

I was the first to arrive at our meeting. The restaurant was not yet full but there was a large group beside this table so I moved to another table near the bar area but after a while more people arrived and sat near me.
I wanted a quiet place but during lunch that was not possible.

Hungry Hound’s interiors with wooden touches, large bar area and high ceiling sort of reminded me of the restaurants in Manhattan.

Abe and his junior web developer, Ritz, were familiar with the restaurant’s menu. They knew what to order.
It was my first time there, although I’ve tasted their food when I visited a friend of mine in a nearby office. He sent his butler to buy pasta and salad for me.

Aside from burger, Abe also ordered Duck Fat Fries. I didn’t take a photo nor tasted it. It looked similar to most fries I’ve seen. I had breakfast and not very hungry that’s why my taste buds were not curious. Maybe next time I would try it.

We were busy talking about the blogging industry, how Abe stated with his blogging and Yugatech, etc., that I forgot to take pictures even of my own food. I think I ate the crab, cured salmon and shrimp salad.

I forced Ritz to order dessert.
I’ve been skipping dessert lately. I am trying to lower my blood sugar although not successfully.

I wasn’t able to bring them to Prime 101 last week as I had promised to Abe due to overlapping schedules. He loves steaks daw. I will bring them there after the Holy Week. Promise.
