Filipinos have forgotten their good old chicken mami and have now become ramen converts.
Dati kami, “kain tayo ng chicken mami”. Ngayon, “do you want ramen?”

Oyen brought us to Tampopo, a new Japanese ramen place owned by her friend. She dined here once compliments of the owners during their soft launch. It’s on the ground floor of the new Promenade extension in Greenhills.

Tampopo is a franchise from Singapore.

The decor is supposed to be Japanese, but we’re getting a native Philippines vibe because of the use of bamboos.

It’s back to back with Red Mango because they have the same owners/ investors.

Yen ordered this black pig special yata. I shared with her.

There is no mistaking from the smell and soup taste, meron itong dinurog na chicharon.
Not for older people like me.

Fried chicken — Kakiage

Oyster Meal, unlimited refill of veggies.

Edmund ordered a lighter soup but less flavorful.

Nyke’s had tonkatsu on the side.

We are trying to identify foods that could be the potential triggers of my son’s skin rashes. It is difficult because he has a good appetite.

This afternoon, I will bring him to St. Luke’s Immunology and Allergy Dept. for testing. We’re also seeing the head of these departments hopefully to pinpoint the root cause of his rashes and find an effective treatment for permanent cure.
